Why there is a necessary for Detox Diet?

By Pramod Kumar

Detox diets are digestive schedules and plans that insist to have detoxifying effects. The usual idea indicates that most food is contaminated by various ingredients deemed unnecessary for human life, such as flavor enhancers, food colorings, and artificial preservatives. Scientists, dietitians, and doctors, while especially judging 'detox diets' harmless (unless nutritional deficiency results), often argue the value and need of 'detox diets' due to shortage of supporting factual evidence or coherent rationale. Detox diets can have absorbing extremely limited foods (only water or juice, a form of fasting, or eliminating certain foods from the diet (such as fats).

Generally, detox diet is a diet that helps our bodies to remove harmful toxic wastes. There are many types of detox diets. In general, many people refer the term "detox diet" to mean a dedicated detox diet plan program that is attempted to remove toxins from a specific part of the body. For instance, there can be detox diet programs for cleansing of the colon, liver or the GI tract.

A detox diet includes high fiber foods and consumption of adequate amount of water. It normally includes fresh and green vegetables like broccoli, spinach etc and other healthy foods like garlic, artichokes, beets, cauliflower, rice, beans, nuts and seeds. It also includes plenty of fresh fruits except grapes.

Committed detox diet programs are short-term diets. Detox diets are also recommended for losing weight. They work by giving your body various organic chemical compounds vital for detoxification, such as vitamins, antioxidants and other all-important nutrients. Some of these organic compounds help elimination of waste products from your body by increasing the frequency of bowel movements and urination.

Some of the prominent benefits of detox diets include increased stamina, strength and energy, enhanced mental alertness, clearer skin, better immune system, well digestion and lots more. After a full detox diet, you should add fruits and vegetables to the group of food that you usually eat. For example, have some berries with your usual breakfast of coffee and toast. At lunch, try to add sliced fresh tomato in your sandwich. With dinner, drink some vegetable juice or vegetable salad. Eat fresh fruits during snack time.
