Use the 5-Day Detox Diet to Reinvigorate Your Life

By Vanessa Summer

Life gets harder all of the time--there are worries, poisons in the air, toxins in everything we eat and drink and, of course, just the regular pressures that come along with daily life. All of this can have a very harmful effect on the body, so at least every few months, you must do a detoxification to renew your body. You may not think your body is damaged by things like car exhaust or air borne toxic substances but over time it all accumulates inside of you and in due course you start to feel the effects.

For this reason, you need a detox for your body to regain your health, in order to have a healthy mind and carry on with healthy relationships with the people close to you. Our body has an incredible ability to repair itself, and has its own detox system, but with way too many pollutants in the body, it can use a bit of help. With the tissues becoming extremely stressed, they tend to malfunction, resulting in all sorts of diseases, while affecting the cleansing process. To help your body get cleansed, there is a 5-day detox plan that will not only rejuvenate your body, but your spirit also.

The 5-day detox plan comes with a diet in which several foods are absolutely avoided but lots of fruit and green leafy veggies are eaten. When you go through a cleanse, you need to get rid of all of the preservatives, additives, oils and fats from your diet. As meat is hard to absorb, you need to swear off all meat during these days--or at least get rid of a couple of them. Several of the foods that are great for this diet program include garlic, beets, beans, broccoli and nuts. The only thing you have to drink aside from water (the universal solvent) during one of these diets is grapefruit juice. A big factor in the cleansing is water, which clears toxins out of your body in the forms of urine, stool and perspiration.

You consume less food on a detox diet, but you are not going to starve. As you are only going to be eating healthy foods during your cleansing diet, you'll see that you have quite increased stamina. If you aren't totally sure about the detox process, you ought to work with a professional or a nutritionist so that you can find the one that is best for your body. As the toxic substances are being removed from your body, you might feel worse in the beginning, but if you stick to the process, you will receive new energy, as well as physical and mental alertness. We all know just how crucial it is to be clean outside but nobody thinks about what works best for being clean on the inside.

You know yourself how well you are feeling, and if you feel tired in the least, you need to consider a detoxification program. When you live in an environment that has lots of pollution, it's impossible to keep the toxic substances out of your body.
